Event Overview
Mark your calendars for April 18th, because we’re building towards an exciting event that we’re calling “I’m The App For That!”
The event will focus on concepts, conversations and ideas that have changed you or helped change the world. Yes, this is a broad theme, but we’re excited about it because we think it’ll attract a variety of speakers and attendees. We’re planning on having 1-2 keynote speakers and then will select 3-4 speakers to join them. Each speaker will have 15 minutes to share his/her wisdom, thoughts and stories with the audience.
Want to Speak At This Event?
This event is going to be awesome, and we’d love to get you involved so you can share your own stories and lessons. Interpret the theme however you like and and fill out the fields below (from now until March 23) for a chance to speak. Bonus points if you create a 2-minute submission video explaining what you plan on talking about; this can even be done on your iPhone or any other mobile device. A panel of judges from SMC-DC will select the top 10 entries. Then we’ll set things up so that you (the general public) can vote on who your favorites are. We’ll then pick the top 3 or 4 to speak at the event.

Now-March 23: Submissions accepted
March 23: Submission period closes
March 24-25: SMCDC panel determines the Top 10
March 26-April 2: Public voting open
April 2: Voting closes
April 4: Announce winners

Ahhh, I wish I had seen this sooner! Would love a chance to be a speaker, especially being a PR who moved in Social Media, became a “mummy blogger” now a “mommy blogger” and doing freelance and always spreading the gospel of social. Love it all and I will definitely bee at the event!
