There are only a few things in this world that take two ideas and combine them into an amazing and functional icon: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Nike shoes with air cushioning, and food trucks, to name a few.
While others on this list may be debatable, it’s hard to argue with food trucks being included. Delicious food on wheels is simply awesome. That’s why we’re excited to be talking about food trucks at our next event on Wednesday, October 19th. We’ve got a great panel of folks behind some of our favorite food trucks who are serving up great food and using social media to engage and grow their customer base.
Check out the info below for more details and head over to the event registration page to claim your spot. Special thanks to Edelman DC for hosting the event and FoodTruckFiesta for being the sponsor of our open bar! This is going to be a great event, and we hope to see you there!

“Each day, Red Hook Lobster Pound, DC serves up lunch to hundreds of Washingtonians providing a taste of Maine that everyone enjoys. On a cool day, you can warm yourself up with a Connecticut style Lobster roll, a bowl of authentic New England clam chowder and a warm apple cider. On one of Washington’s hot summer days, you will find people lined up around the block to get a taste of a fresh, Maine style lobster roll and washing it down with an authentic Maine Root Soda.” - http://www.redhooklobsterdc.com

“Curbside Cupcakes Washington DC’s FIRST mobile cupcakery! Curbside Cupcakes is owned and operated by long-time DC residents, Sam & Kristi Whitfield. We first hit the road in November, 2009 and we now have three trucks bringing the “Cupcake Bliss” to Washington DC, Arlington, & Montgomery County. We sell cupcakes directly off the truck in any amount or assortment you’d like. We also have a delivery service, where you can order cupcakes off the daily menu.” - http://curbsidecupcakes.com
@BigCheeseTruck
“At The Big Cheese we LOVE cheese in all of its melty glorious gooey deliciousness. And we aren’t just using any cheese… We use artisan cheeses from Cowgirl Creamery and local farmers markets to make the classic favorite even more yummy. And where would grilled cheese be without its hot little friend tomato soup? Sad and lonely that’s where. So of course we are serving up that trusty sidekick as well. We can’t just put that kind of cheese on just any bread. So Lyon is our bakery. Founded by three like–minded friends in the spring of 2000 who are skilled in the art of gourmet artisan breads. Based out of Southwest, it’s local, it’s delicious enough said.” – http://bigcheesetruck.com/
